Who We Are

The Society for Technical Communication is a nonprofit international organization devoted to educating, recognizing, and advancing technical communicators around the world. Technical communicators include anyone who develops technical information for use by others (visit Who Are Technical Communicators?).

The Central Iowa STC Community provides value to members by sponsoring and fostering training and educational activities, as well as providing online and in-person networking opportunities for technical communicators:

• providing tools for our members that allow them to grow professionally
• giving our members an arena to share and display their skills/knowledge
• promoting the collaboration between the academic, industrial, nonprofit, and consulting aspects of our field
