I am currently a Technical Communications Supervisor at SHAZAM, Inc. in Des Moines, IA. I started here Sept. 4, 2007. Prior to that, I worked in communications roles at Nationwide Insurance in Des Moines, where I worked for more than five years - the first three-plus years of which I was a technical writer in their IT dept. I have a Bachelor's degree in Rhetoric & Professional Communication (RPC) from Iowa State University, which I obtained in Dec. 2001. As a fun side job, I work part time in hospitality/security at the Civic Center of Greater Des Moines. I was born and raised on the southside (go Railsplitters!) of Des Moines and currently reside in the Beaverdale neighborhood (a much less enthusiastic go Huskies). My hobbies include watching movies, attending plays or musicals, rollerblading, biking and listening to a variety of music. I am an occasional volunteer for Stage West and I also sing in various choir groups around the Des Moines area. I also love to travel and visit new places.
